Delete data

No cloud account

Starling requires no registration. The developer holds no cloud chat account to delete. Data is mainly held on your device and the devices of members you choose to communicate with.

Delete local data

Settings > Privacy & data > Chat history: disable saving and confirm deletion.

Settings > Connection & recovery: disable recovery for that room and delete its checkpoint. Explicitly leaving the room also clears its checkpoint.

Settings > Privacy & data: remove reports, unblock identities or clear all local data. Clearing all data leaves every room on this device, stops sharing and voice, and clears local history and settings.

Settings > Connection & recovery > Backup hotspot: delete the saved profile. The operating system may separately retain network authorization; remove that through Wi-Fi settings if needed.

Limits of deletion

Deletion cannot recall messages, screenshots, exports or coordinates saved by other members, nor content copied to the clipboard or other apps. Location withdrawal requires connectivity to reach recipients.

If you emailed support or a report, request deletion at admin@voalice.com. We may need to verify the request and explain any information that must be retained and the reason.
